Senior Product Owner – Data & Analytics (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential beauty e-commerce client in their search for a Senior Product Owner - Data & Analytics. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a rapidly scaling organization uses data to drive commercial decisions across marketing, operations, and finance. Based in Berlin, you'll partner with leadership to build analytics products that translate directly into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the company-wide analytics function including KPI framework, reporting cadence, BI tooling, glossary, and decision-support standards
• Manage the product delivery roadmap for data initiatives across the central analytics team
• Translate commercial questions around CAC, LTV, channel mix, contribution margin, cohort behavior, and inventory turnover into scoped, prioritized data products
• Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering and analytics teams can execute without ambiguity
• Bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technical execution, ensuring the team knows exactly what to build
• Lead discovery and experimentation for new data capabilities, from self-serve analytics to ML-powered features

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years in product management or product owner role focused on BI, analytics, or closely adjacent functions at a D2C, e-commerce, or consumer brand
• Strong business acumen with focus on impact over output; deep understanding of D2C metrics including CAC, LTV, CIR/ROAS, contribution margin, cohort analytics, and marketing attribution
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to operate at C-level, translating ambiguous commercial questions into sharp, defensible analyses
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving quickly in a startup environment; you create structure rather than wait for it
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Nice to have: Exposure to modern data stack concepts (data warehouses, self-serve analytics tools, ML pipelines); experience writing SQL or working with data and AI tools
