About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS client in their search for a Business Development Representative based in the UK. Our client operates in the payments technology sector and is experiencing significant growth across their global customer base.
As a BDR, you will serve as the first point of contact for sales efforts, creating demand and building early relationships that convert into qualified pipeline for the Account Executive team. This is a career-launching role with a clear pathway to Account Executive positions for high performers who consistently hit quota.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of ideal customer profiles, use cases, and value propositions to target best-fit companies
- Own and manage a healthy territory of high-fit accounts
- Proactively generate conversations across multiple channels including LinkedIn, cold calling, email, video, and region-specific platforms
- Convert meaningful engagements into qualified opportunities for Account Executives
- Collaborate with marketing on in-person and virtual events to generate demand
- Leverage modern tools, including AI-powered workflows, to personalise outreach and improve performance
- Manage and prioritise time effectively to consistently meet and exceed targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Sales or Business Development role within a SaaS or B2B company
- Comfortable proactively engaging new customers through email and phone
- Coachable, accountable, and consistent in developing knowledge and results
- Consultative and human approach to sales with understanding that every conversation is different
- Performance-driven and competitive mindset, energised by hitting and surpassing targets
- Ability to stay organised in dynamic, fast-changing environments and thrive in ambiguity
