Senior Manager – Operations Management Consulting- DACH

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential management consulting organization serving high-risk industrial sectors across the DACH region. We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead operations transformation programmes with a strong focus on Operational Risk Management.

In this role, you will partner with senior client stakeholders to strengthen risk management capabilities, improve operational performance, and build resilience across complex operating environments. You will lead consulting teams, manage multi-workstream engagements, and contribute to practice growth across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting teams and manage delivery across multiple project workstreams for transformation programmes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout engagements
• Assess operational risks and identify opportunities to improve organizational resilience and performance
• Design and implement Operational Risk Management frameworks, systems, and improvement programmes
• Facilitate executive workshops, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Oversee project execution ensuring quality standards, measurable impact, and timely delivery
• Coach and develop consulting team members, building capability and high performance
• Support account growth through proposal development and ongoing client engagement
• Contribute to business development and expansion of the ORM practice across the DACH region

What We're Looking For

Experience Required:

• Significant experience in management consulting, ideally in Operational Risk Management, Operational Excellence, or operational leadership roles
• Proven track record leading complex consulting engagements and managing teams
• Experience implementing operational risk, safety, governance, or resilience programmes
• Background working within asset-intensive industries such as energy, chemicals, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, or utilities
• Strong experience developing and managing senior client relationships

Key Capabilities:

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at executive level
• Deep understanding of Operational Risk Management principles and risk-based decision making
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and project teams simultaneously
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical thinking and strategic mindset for operating in diverse international environments

Education & Languages:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Risk Management, or related field
• Fluency in English and German at C1 level required

Mobility:

• Willingness to travel across the DACH region and internationally as required
