Fullstack Developer (Magento)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization with a strong presence across Latin America. Our client is seeking a Fullstack Developer with Magento expertise to join their team in Colombia on a remote basis.

This is a fixed-term contract position for 2-4 months with potential for extension. You'll work on maintaining and evolving e-commerce platforms, ensuring stability and delivering measurable business impact through quality code and thoughtful implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, ensuring robust, scalable code aligned with project requirements
• Work across the full stack, addressing both backend and frontend components within the solution ecosystem
• Implement new functionality on Magento platforms, prioritizing technical quality, functional consistency, and production stability
• Execute evolutionary and corrective maintenance, addressing incidents, functional adjustments, and continuous improvements on existing applications
• Correct errors and optimize existing components to improve performance, reliability, and end-user experience
• Collaborate with technical teams to define viable, sustainable solutions aligned with business needs
• Manage and version changes using Git, following organized integration and development control practices
• Work with relational databases for queries, validation, and system functionality support
• Apply development best practices including clean code, technical documentation, and maintainability criteria
• Participate in testing and validation of developments to ensure functional deliveries ready for deployment
• Support knowledge transfer processes to internal teams, promoting operational continuity and technical adoption

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of experience developing with PHP
• Proven experience in web application development
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Demonstrated experience as a Fullstack Developer
• Solid knowledge of relational databases
• Experience in application maintenance, both evolutionary and corrective
• Hands-on experience working with Magento
• Experience in e-commerce projects
• Knowledge of development best practices, including clean code and technical documentation
• Experience with version control using Git
• Clear communication skills with technical and functional profiles
• Ability to prioritize tasks according to criticality, impact, and operational continuity
• Strong attention to detail when working on live applications

Desired qualifications:

• Knowledge of deployment processes and production support in web environments
• Previous experience working with distributed teams in remote settings
• Familiarity with technical analysis and effort estimation for evolutionary requirements
• Certifications or courses in PHP, Magento, web development, or related technologies
