About This Opportunity

We are representing a global mid-sized contract research organization seeking an Organizational Learning Advisor, Commercial to join their team remotely from the United States. This is a strategic, business-facing role within the organizational learning and development function, driving learning strategy for commercial teams including business development, proposals, marketing, and client operations.

This is a build role—you will establish the commercial learning portfolio from the ground up, creating the strategy, structure, and curriculum that supports revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the learning and enablement strategy for the commercial function, aligned to growth targets and client satisfaction priorities
  • Build the foundational commercial learning framework including competency models, role profiles, learning paths, content standards, and governance processes
  • Design and deliver onboarding and ramp-up learning journeys for new commercial hires to shorten time to productivity
  • Build role-based curricula covering selling skills, therapeutic knowledge, proposal development, bid defense preparation, pricing fundamentals, and client communication
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, delivering content in an engaging and impactful manner
  • Develop strong relationships with commercial leaders and stakeholders to foster continuous learning culture
  • Coordinate change management communications and technology onboarding programs for commercial systems and processes
  • Conduct comprehensive needs analysis and apply methods to measure learning impact and ROI against commercial metrics such as ramp time and proposal quality
  • Collaborate with instructional design and LMS teams to create, launch, and measure training effectiveness

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Education, Life Sciences, or related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in learning and development, sales enablement, or commercial training, preferably within a contract research organization, pharmaceutical, or other client-facing services environment
  • Proven experience consulting with commercial client groups such as business development, proposals, marketing, and feasibility to identify learning needs
  • Demonstrated experience building a learning program from the ground up, establishing structure and standards without existing infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of the commercial lifecycle including lead generation, proposal response, bid defense, and client relationship management
  • Strong background in instructional design and LMS management
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to build relationships with commercial leaders
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for client-facing audiences

Key Competencies:

  • Proven ability to design training programs aligned with adult learning principles for experienced professionals
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of the drug development lifecycle and how clients evaluate partners
  • Strong analytical skills to measure training effectiveness and connect learning outcomes to commercial performance
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed, global environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
  • Experience with CRM platforms, proposal and pricing systems, and content repositories is preferred

Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to support client-facing teams and facilitate training
