About This Role
We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a remote position based in Germany. This is a full-time, permanent role where quality is deeply embedded in how products are built—not treated as a final checkpoint.
You'll work across multiple development teams on products with varying architectures, maturity levels, and risk profiles. The technical surface is substantial, and you'll need to navigate between different contexts fluidly. This isn't about executing scripts against stable codebases—it's about actively shaping quality strategy from the earliest stages of development.
Responsibilities
- Join projects before development begins: review requirements, identify untestable elements, and provide early feedback to engineering teams
- Own and continuously update test strategies as products evolve—this is living documentation, not a static exercise
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases across functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT scenarios
- Build and maintain automated test suites covering UI, API, and integration layers
- Leverage AI-assisted tools actively in your daily workflow—for test generation, code support, and process optimization
- Maintain continuous testing pipelines and support development teams in utilizing them effectively
- Write detailed, actionable bug reports with clear reproduction steps and impact assessment
- Conduct regular regression cycles following major releases
- Facilitate user acceptance testing sessions with product stakeholders
- Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent test streams
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing/QA, ideally within agile team environments
- Strong test automation skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Frisby, or Supertest
- Proven experience using AI-assisted tools in development or testing contexts (AI code generators, LLM-based test support, or similar technologies)
- Comfortable using Claude or comparable LLMs as part of your standard workflow
- Solid understanding of test design principles, QA processes, and translating requirements into executable test documentation
- Proficiency with REST API testing, Git version control, bug tracking systems, and browser DevTools
- Ability to effectively prioritize across multiple parallel workstreams
- Fluent English communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- German language proficiency
- Experience facilitating UAT processes
- Background in QA process ownership
- Performance and integration testing experience
