Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their PMO team on a permanent, remote basis within Germany. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business strategy execution during a period of significant portfolio expansion.

In this position, you will take end-to-end ownership of technical projects spanning development teams and business functions. You'll translate ambiguous requirements into executable plans, actively challenge incoming requirements, and structure initiatives into scalable roadmaps with clear iterations and implementation phases. Your day-to-day work involves coordinating priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and parallel workstreams.

You'll identify resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early, ensuring transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management—particularly important in a fast-moving environment where scope and priorities frequently shift. Standard tooling includes Jira, Confluence, and comparable project management platforms.

Beyond individual project delivery, you'll shape the PMO itself by continuously developing standards and processes, supporting portfolio alignment and prioritisation, and mentoring junior project managers. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll contribute measurably to strategic roadmap execution with a high degree of autonomy and genuine ownership.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery environments
• Proven end-to-end delivery ownership of cross-functional initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams—not limited to governance or status-reporting roles
• Strong experience in stakeholder and escalation management
• High degree of ownership and composure when working in environments with shifting priorities and ambiguity
• Confident use of common PM tooling such as Jira and Confluence (or comparable platforms)
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Professional fluency in English
• Experience in cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure environments (a plus)
• Familiarity with agile scaling, PMO, or portfolio management (a plus)
• German language skills and certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PSM (a plus)
