About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential engineering organization focused on energy transmission infrastructure. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission projects ranging from €3 to €30 million in scope. This role offers significant autonomy, direct client engagement, and up to 60% remote work flexibility based in Römerberg near Speyer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage energy transmission network expansion projects from proposal through completion
• Oversee technical, contractual, and commercial project aspects including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination
• Maintain ongoing communication with energy suppliers, transmission operators, and distribution network clients
• Participate in business development activities, cost estimation, and proposal preparation
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project team members
• Ensure comprehensive internal and external project documentation and regular reporting

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience leading and managing energy transmission projects
• Proven experience with high-voltage and extra-high-voltage projects, ideally in cable or overhead line construction
• Background in cost estimation, proposal development, and tender processes
• Structured, independent working style with confident presence and strong communication abilities
• Excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings on-site
