About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential wealth management organization seeking a Corporate Counsel II with strong M&A expertise. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on complex merger and acquisition transactions while supporting a growing national business. We are looking for an experienced attorney who can navigate deal structuring, due diligence, and corporate governance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, structure, and negotiate agreements in connection with mergers and acquisitions
- Lead and conduct legal M&A due diligence efforts while coordinating with cross-functional teams on firm-wide diligence activities
- Collaborate with business partners across multiple departments to support transaction objectives
- Manage relationships with and oversee the work of outside counsel
- Research and provide guidance on relevant legal issues affecting transactions and corporate matters
- Stay current on new laws and regulatory developments impacting the financial services industry
- Support general corporate governance matters as needed
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state (Colorado preferred)
- 4 or more years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Direct experience in mergers and acquisitions law required
- Financial services industry experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of federal securities law, including the Investment Advisors Act of 1940, preferred
- Strong drafting, legal research, and writing abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent skills in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding communication, analytical, and organizational capabilities

Pay
This position offers competitive compensation. Base pay will be determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and licenses. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation. Our client provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, 14 company paid holidays, generous PTO, and additional wellness benefits.
