Music & Lyrics Specialist – Remote | Upto $15/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking a Music & Lyrics Specialist fluent in Malayalam. This is a remote contract role with flexible hours, ideal for experienced songwriters, lyricists, performers, or music journalists who can evaluate AI-generated content against professional quality standards.

Our client is building next-generation AI systems and needs expert cultural and artistic insight to improve their models. You'll work independently, rating music and lyrics for quality, creativity, originality, and cultural authenticity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across various genres and rate it against detailed quality standards
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities and assess originality
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and overall effectiveness
• Evaluate whether lyrics sound natural, including appropriate word choice, slang, and regional expressions in Malayalam
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines while contributing to AI model improvement

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malayalam
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
• Professional experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist
• Strong knowledge of the Malayalam music scene and contemporary trends
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening and evaluation
• Availability for 20+ hours per week for up to 6 months

Preferred:

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition
• Credited or published songwriting work
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Malayalam genres, sub-genres, and artists
