Portfolio-/ Beteiligungscontroller (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy investment firm in Hamburg, and we're seeking a Portfolio/Investment Controller to join their finance team. In this role, you will:

• Lead short-, medium-, and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning for holding and portfolio companies as well as project entities
• Own divisional controlling for operational subsidiaries and investments, including contribution margin analysis
• Manage ongoing controlling activities from cost center accounting to actual vs. target comparisons, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments
• Drive continuous optimization of processes and key performance indicators
• Prepare comprehensive analyses, reports, and quarterly statements, particularly for capital providers and banking partners
• Support executive leadership and investors in strategic decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally within investment management, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and portfolio management
• Experience with multi-entity structures and subsidiary controlling
• Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and working with capital providers
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling; ERP system experience beneficial
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement
• Fluent German language skills required; English proficiency advantageous
