Chief Product Officer – Product, Growth Systems & AI (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential recruiting technology company based in Berlin that is building an AI-first workforce platform. Our talent team is seeking a Chief Product Officer to lead product strategy, engineering, and growth systems. This is a senior executive role for someone who wants to build scalable marketplace infrastructure, drive AI automation across operations, and shape organizational strategy.

You will own the entire product roadmap—from discovery and prototyping through delivery and scale. You'll lead cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and marketing, establish data-driven growth systems, and prepare the platform for integration of acquired businesses. This role requires hands-on delivery alongside strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and focus on 2–3 high-impact initiatives across direct booking, matching algorithms, and scalable growth infrastructure
• Build repeatable acquisition-to-fulfillment systems with measurable conversion, fill rate, margin, and velocity improvements
• Drive hands-on product work: discovery, prototyping, specification, experimentation, and delivery—not delegation alone
• Automate campaign execution, routing, and matching workflows using LLMs, agentic tools, and modern automation platforms
• Reduce manual effort and process costs through AI-first development practices across the product organization
• Lead technical and product due diligence for acquisition targets, including synergy modeling and integration planning
• Build a unified platform capable of onboarding acquired companies within 100 days, integrating data, CRM, matching, and operations
• Provide functional leadership for product, engineering, and growth marketing teams with clear decision rights and shared outcomes
• Establish structures that enable product decisions to run independently of executive oversight
• Collaborate closely with operations and leadership to ensure product development aligns with business realities

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience building digital marketplace, platform, or vertical SaaS products with demonstrable business and funnel results
• Current hands-on capability in discovery, prototyping, specification, experimentation, and product delivery
• AI-first working style using LLMs, coding tools, prototyping frameworks, and agentic automation systems
• Strong technical and data skills: product analytics, SQL fundamentals, APIs, data modeling, integrations, and architecture trade-offs
• Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation, attribution models, and self-service funnels (e.g., HubSpot or similar platforms)
• Track record leading product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams functionally
• Fluency in German (C1/C2) and English (C1), both written and spoken
• Strong bonus: experience with product or technical due diligence, platform integration, or post-merger integration (formal M&A background not required)

Pay
