Trusted Tester – Level I (Web Tester)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential government contracting organization that delivers mission-critical training and accessibility solutions to federal agencies. We are seeking a Trusted Tester - Level I (Web Tester) to support compliance testing for a federal client.

Location: Remote (United States-based, Fredericksburg, VA region preferred)
Employment Type: Part-Time (~30 hours per week)
Note: This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

As a Trusted Tester - Level I, you will:

• Evaluate and validate Section 508 compliance across Information and Communications Technology (ICT) deliverables, web applications, and digital learning products
• Execute standardized manual and automated accessibility test scripts using DHS-approved assessment methods and reporting tools
• Document technical non-conformance defects with clear, actionable remediation guidance
• Generate standardized test reports in accordance with DHS test reporting formats and conformance processes
• Collaborate with development teams, instructional designers, and project managers to integrate accessibility best practices throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure all digital assets meet Revised Section 508 Standards and deliver inclusive user experiences

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Active DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 (or later) Certification (must be current)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience working with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) environments
• 1+ year of dedicated Section 508 accessibility testing experience
• Demonstrated experience using the DHS Trusted Tester Section 508 Conformance Test Process for Web (v5.0 or later)
• Solid working knowledge of Revised Section 508 Standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Expertise executing web conformance testing across various browsers and ICT interfaces
• Strong ability to accurately identify compliance failures and document defects
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
