Senior Consultant Digital & AI Strategy – Pharma & Healthcare (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consulting organization with a strong focus on digital transformation and AI strategy. Our client is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead strategic engagements within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation support, helping clients navigate complex digital and commercial transformations.

This position is based in München and offers a hybrid working model. You'll work directly with senior leadership at client organizations, developing practical strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital strategy and transformation workstreams for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, ensuring strategies translate into actionable implementation plans
• Structure complex strategic challenges, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and deliver clear recommendations to senior management
• Develop Go-to-Market and commercial transformation strategies, including customer segmentation, commercial models, channel strategies, sales force effectiveness, pricing, and customer experience optimization
• Support clients in developing and implementing AI strategies, covering opportunity assessments, use-case prioritization, target operating models, governance frameworks, and transformation roadmaps
• Contribute to large-scale digital transformation programs, translating strategic vision into concrete initiatives across business processes, organizational design, technology, and data
• Manage project workstreams and mentor junior team members while coordinating with internal specialists across strategy, technology, data, and AI disciplines
• Facilitate client workshops and management discussions, communicating recommendations, trade-offs, and strategic decisions effectively
• Support business development activities, proposal development, and client relationship management
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in AI transformation, commercial excellence, and healthcare strategy

What We're Looking For

• Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, strategy, computer science, or related field; master's degree or MBA is advantageous
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, digital transformation, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, or AI strategy, with a track record of turning strategic recommendations into transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of digital technologies and AI, particularly their impact on business models, operating models, and commercial organizations
• Analytical and conceptual thinking with structured problem-solving capabilities and comfort working with senior stakeholders
• Experience in Go-to-Market strategy, commercial model transformation, Commercial Excellence, sales and marketing transformation, or customer strategy is highly valued
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors is ideal; experience in other regulated industries is also beneficial
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities with confidence in client-facing situations
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven approach, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Fluency in German and English required; additional languages are a plus
