About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a .NET Software Engineer to lead the design and development of their expanding platform. This is a remote position open to candidates across multiple U.S. states.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the full stack, mentor engineering teams, and drive the evolution of cloud-native healthcare solutions. You'll shape architectural decisions while maintaining a hands-on development presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, distributed, cloud-native applications using.NET technologies
- Define and enforce software engineering standards and best practices across the development organization
- Drive adoption of microservices and event-driven architecture patterns
- Develop and maintain high-performance applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Azure/Kubernetes
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas
- Manage production issues, create hotfixes, and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and guide team members through complex technical initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Lead sprint planning and ensure delivery commitments are met on schedule
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and maintain system security, scalability, and resilience
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions
- Strong development expertise in ASP.NET MVC and C# with deep understanding of functional and object-oriented programming principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure SQL Server or other relational databases, including debugging and understanding complex SQL code
- Cloud and containerization experience with Azure and Kubernetes environments
- Front-end capabilities in CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery (web components knowledge is a plus)
- API design experience with RESTful services preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to technical challenges
- Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor teams and drive technical excellence
