Product Manager – Device Data Management (Fluent French & English)

We are representing a confidential energy technology organization in their search for a Product Manager to lead device data management in the French market. This is a hybrid role based in Paris (3 days in office) requiring fluent French and English.

Please note: This position requires candidates to be based in or willing to relocate to Paris, France. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is essential.

Responsibilities

You will lead the French market adaptation of a core platform area covering device and meter data — including supplies, registers, reads, and consumption analytics. This is a hands-on, full-stack product role where you'll work across the entire product area.

• Translate French market requirements into clear specifications — convert French energy market regulations (including device and meter data flows between grid operators and suppliers) into detailed product requirements covering compliance, data flows, and data quality
• Build close working relationships — collaborate directly with key partners in the French market to understand needs, shape requirements together, and establish trusted relationships that inform product direction
• Build prototypes yourself — move from concept to working prototype independently by querying data, sketching API contracts, and creating proofs of concept. Use AI tooling (e.g. Claude Code) daily to prototype, investigate, and unblock challenges
• Align global and local teams — partner with engineering, UX, QA and other functions with full-stack influence. Serve as the bridge between global and local teams to inform priorities and strategy for this product area in France

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or equivalent role in software companies, with a track record of successfully localizing complex software products for international markets
• Previous experience in the French energy industry — understanding of how the market works and its key players (e.g. Enedis / GRDF), particularly around device data and market flows. Experience with energy management or utility platforms in the French market is a strong advantage
• Fluent in French and very comfortable in English — ability to move easily between both languages as platform operations and many teams work in English
• Confident working directly with clients — capable of running working sessions with client stakeholders, identifying real requirements, and keeping senior stakeholders aligned
• A builder's mentality — resourceful and hands-on, comfortable creating working prototypes rather than waiting for perfect specifications
• Technically comfortable — at ease with data models, databases, and APIs, able to prototype with modern AI tooling. You don't need to be an engineer, but you think like one and can engage confidently in technical conversations. Equally skilled at reasoning about data architecture and end-user experience
• Clear, sharp communicator — able to articulate technical and market complexity to various stakeholders, including clients
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams — engineering, QA, business analysis, programme delivery, etc. — to deliver localized solutions
• Proficiency in AI tools throughout all stages of the product lifecycle — from discovery and ideation to delivery and iteration
