Technical Program Manager, Human Data Annotation (Code)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI organization in their search for a Technical Program Manager to lead human data annotation operations focused on code-related initiatives. This is a Paris-based role where you'll serve as the critical bridge between research teams, engineering, and annotation operations—directly accelerating cutting-edge AI development.

You'll partner with researchers to translate complex technical requirements into scalable data strategies, manage end-to-end annotation campaigns, and build quality assurance processes that ensure excellence at scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research teams to develop data strategies and convert research requirements into actionable human data annotation campaigns
• Drive annotation campaigns from scoping through delivery, balancing quality needs, budget constraints, and timeline requirements
• Lead a data quality assurance team that designs and implements scalable quality control processes, including automated and manual verification, insight synthesis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with annotation teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality data output across all phases—sourcing, contracts, onboarding, training, and performance monitoring
• Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant experience combining software engineering and technical program management
• Strong technical foundation in Python
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under pressure
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Autonomous, proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
• Demonstrated experience leading teams with a collaborative, low-ego approach
• Comfort with hands-on operational work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, React) is a plus
• Experience with data collection, annotation operations, or quality assurance processes is highly valuable
• Vendor or contractor management experience preferred
• Understanding of and interest in large language models is beneficial
