We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join their Identity Verification team in Paris. Our client is a global payments technology company enabling digital transactions at massive scale. This is a high-impact role building next-generation verification solutions using cutting-edge technologies including AI, computer vision, and modern orchestration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, scalable applications for real-world identity verification challenges within a microservices architecture using industry best practices
• Take full ownership of new and existing features and services, managing the complete lifecycle from conceptualization and design through deployment and production monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Risk, DevOps, Data Science, and Data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, extendable, and testable code on high-impact systems
• Build, own, and operate systems to the highest levels of resilience and service quality
• Champion technical excellence and foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the data organization
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to continuously improve verification capabilities
• Safeguard data integrity, ensure compliance, and translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer working with complex, large-scale, diversified applications and tech stacks
• Proficiency in C#.NET, with strong understanding of software development principles in backend or full-stack environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Experience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively
• AI proficiency or AI curiosity—eagerness to embrace latest technologies to enhance productivity
• Payments or financial knowledge is a plus but not required

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with cloud and infrastructure technologies like AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Prometheus
• Experience with databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Direct experience solving real-world business problems through data-driven approaches
• Experience in additional programming languages beyond those listed above
