About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS client seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a small, high-ownership engineering team in Poland. This is a hands-on role building a modern TypeScript application with integrated AI capabilities. You'll work on well-scoped systems—taking a fast-grown codebase to production maturity while continuing to ship features.
This position is fully remote and available as either full-time employment or B2B contract.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-assisted pipeline components, including schema design, LLM prompt engineering, structured output validation, and approval workflows
- Implement multi-tenant infrastructure: role-based access control, membership models, email invitation flows, and self-serve workspace provisioning
- Establish database maturity practices—formal migration workflows, staging/production separation, and safe schema evolution on live systems
- Lead production hardening efforts: rate limiting and usage budgets for AI endpoints, cloud IAM and security reviews, secrets management, and error observability
- Build out engineering process: CI pipelines, expanded test coverage, and code quality tooling
- Refactor and improve codebase structure while maintaining velocity on feature delivery
- Make build-versus-buy decisions, write technical specifications, and mentor a junior engineer
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern React/Next.js (App Router, Server Components, Server Actions)
- Production SaaS backend experience building multi-tenant systems with role/permission models and authentication flows (OAuth, JWT sessions)
- Strong relational database skills: PostgreSQL with an ORM (Prisma preferred), migration strategies, and safe schema changes in production
- Distributed systems fundamentals in serverless environments: queues, webhooks, idempotency, retry logic, and timeout handling
- LLM product engineering experience: prompt design, structured output validation, token cost awareness, and graceful degradation patterns
- Security instincts: cloud IAM reviews (GCP or equivalent), tenant isolation across data and storage layers, rate limiting, and secrets hygiene
- Strong judgment and comfort being the most senior engineer on the project
- Excellent asynchronous communication: clear technical writing, documented decision-making, and proactive blocker escalation
Nice to Have:
- Real-time collaboration experience (Yjs, Liveblocks, ProseMirror/Tiptap internals)
- Google Cloud Platform specifics: Cloud Run, workload identity federation, GCS signed URLs
- Experience scaling an early-stage product to first paying customers
