Senior QA Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential identity verification technology client in their search for a Senior QA Engineer based in Rennes, France. In this role, you will be at the heart of quality assurance for complex AI systems, working directly with research, data science, and engineering teams.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated tests in Python
• Debugging complex components related to AI/ML models and distributed architectures
• Owning and improving CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI): test integration, deployment management, and continuous improvement
• Working closely with R&D teams to anticipate quality risks from the design stage
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs throughout their full lifecycle
• Actively participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contributing to high-quality releases
• Sharing best practices and raising the QA standard across teams

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• 3+ years of experience in QA and test automation on complex systems
• Strong hands-on skills in Python for automation (pytest, Locust, etc.)
• Experience working with AI/ML systems (model testing, data pipeline validation)
• Solid expertise in CI/CD: building, maintaining, and improving pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent)
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
• Ability to dive deep into complex code to find root causes of bugs—you dig in autonomously
• Autonomous, analytical mindset with a taste for technically demanding environments
• Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
