About the Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech client in their search for a Senior Product Data Analyst focused on consumer growth. This role sits at the heart of product strategy for a digital wallet application, where you'll be the analytical partner helping to understand how consumers discover, adopt, and engage with financial products.
You'll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate customer behaviour into actionable insights that drive sustainable commercial growth. Your analysis will directly shape decisions around acquisition strategy, activation improvements, retention drivers, and feature prioritisation across multiple markets.
This is an office-first position based in central London (London Bridge area), working with a truly global and multicultural team.
Responsibilities
- Analyse customer behaviour and product performance across the full consumer lifecycle—from acquisition and activation through engagement, retention, churn, and reactivation
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, customer value, and sustainable growth using funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation, and behavioural analytics
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics Engineering teams to ensure decisions are grounded in robust analysis and commercial understanding
- Evaluate performance of customer segments, markets, channels, and product journeys to identify growth opportunities and commercial trade-offs
- Support decisions that improve activation, conversion, repeat usage, retention, churn, customer lifetime value, and revenue metrics
- Conduct exploratory analysis to answer product and business questions, translating complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
- Define, monitor, and communicate core KPIs covering acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, retention, churn, and customer value
- Design, execute, and analyse A/B tests and product experiments, assessing both customer and commercial impact
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that stakeholders actively use, proactively surfacing trends, anomalies, performance risks, and growth opportunities
- Help Product Managers assess expected impact of opportunities and evaluate whether investments deliver intended outcomes
- Partner with Analytics Engineering to ensure KPI definitions, business logic, and product instrumentation are accurate, scalable, and trusted
- Explore AI and machine learning techniques, including LLM-assisted analysis, to accelerate insight generation and product measurement
What We're Looking For
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying, analysing, and validating data in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with product analytics techniques: funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation, and behavioural analysis
- Understanding of commercial drivers including customer acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, churn, and customer lifetime value
- Ability to connect customer behaviour and product performance to business outcomes, using data to identify growth opportunities and inform prioritisation
- Experience working on A/B tests or product experiments with solid grounding in underlying statistics
- Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, with a track record of building dashboards stakeholders actually use
- Ability to translate ambiguous product or business questions into structured analysis and explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort assessing trade-offs, challenging assumptions, and making evidence-based recommendations
- Curiosity about how AI and emerging techniques can improve product measurement, experimentation, customer understanding, and commercial decision-making
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders with strong prioritisation and proactive communication
- Must have the right to work in the UK (this role does not support visa sponsorship)
