Solution Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise AI organization that is building next-generation decision intelligence systems. They are seeking a Solution Engineer who will own customer outcomes end-to-end—from discovery through production deployment—while driving platform evolution based on real-world implementation needs.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

You will be embedded with customers to solve complex business problems using advanced modeling, reasoning, and analytics capabilities:

• Own complete solution delivery: discovery, semantic modeling, implementation, performance tuning, production hardening, and measurement of business impact
• Design and ship decision solutions including ontologies over customer data, rules engines, graph analytics, optimization formulations, and predictive models
• Build missing capabilities yourself when customer workflows require functionality the platform doesn't yet provide, then contribute generalized versions back to the core product
• Run technical discovery workshops and proofs of concept designed to validate feasibility, not just demonstrate features
• Provide critical product feedback based on deployment patterns, customer needs, and technical gaps discovered during implementation
• Document work as you go and create reusable reference implementations for future deployments
• Troubleshoot and root-cause issues in customer environments independently

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years building and shipping production software, with experience deploying solutions in customer or partner environments
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership: you've taken ambiguous problems from initial discovery to production systems
• Strong SQL skills and deep familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift)
• Strong Python programming ability; experience with declarative or logic-based languages is highly valuable
• Comfortable reading unfamiliar source code, interpreting stack traces, and debugging systems you didn't build
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business executives and technical staff engineers
• Thrives in high-autonomy, high-velocity environments with minimal direction

Preferred qualifications:

• Production experience with optimization, constraint solving, rule engines, graph algorithms, or machine learning on structured data
• Background in semantic modeling, data pipelines, and governance in enterprise settings
• Track record of building reusable tools or abstractions that became standard across an organization
• Prior experience in enterprise technology, AI, or analytics platforms

• Demo-and-handoff pre-sales (you stay through production deployment)
• Staff augmentation or ticket queue work
• Pure advisory or consulting without delivery
• Legacy system maintenance

Pay

Our client has indicated a base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 USD for this position, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
