Senior AI Engineer (Forward-Deployed)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization in Paris that is undergoing a company-wide AI transformation. Our client is integrating AI agents and applications across all operational functions—from customer support to revenue operations and data consumption. This is a rare opportunity to join an AI Ops team that is building and deploying production AI systems with measurable weekly impact.

As a Senior AI Engineer in a forward-deployed capacity, you will work directly with business stakeholders to design, build, and operate AI agents that solve real operational challenges. This is not a research role—you'll ship daily, own your deployments end-to-end, and see your work in production immediately.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate multi-agent AI systems in production environments, including pre-processing pipelines, deterministic routing, and SOP-driven agents
• Ship iteratively based on real production bugs and tickets, not theoretical requirements
• Own the full deployment lifecycle: CI/CD pipelines, sandbox and production environments, deployment automation, monitoring, and agent observability
• Design and implement agent evaluation frameworks including evals, LLM-as-judge systems, fixed-context replay, and regression testing
• Engineer context integration strategies to connect internal data sources accurately and securely
• Collaborate directly with business teams (customer experience, revenue operations, data) to discover needs, deliver solutions, and hand over operational agents
• Contribute to the architectural vision and evolution of the agent platform

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience shipping and operating production systems with high-quality, production-grade code
• Whole-system thinking: ability to challenge architectural decisions and evaluate technical choices through a business impact lens
• Comfort with ambiguity—you can transform unclear problems into shipped solutions without detailed specifications
• DevOps fluency: end-to-end deployment ownership, infrastructure-as-code, and ability to debug complex network environments (VPN, proxies)
• Hands-on production experience with AI agents and LLM frameworks (ADK, LangChain, or similar)
• Applied prompt engineering and evaluation experience
• Daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) in your own workflow
• Fluency in both French and English
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to deliver results quickly

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK v2) and the A2A protocol
• Familiarity with LLM observability tools such as Langfuse
• Experience optimizing LLM costs at scale through caching, routing, and model selection strategies
