About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential financial technology organization that is transforming how enterprise institutions leverage AI and automation. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a core platform team focused on distributed execution systems that power critical customer workflows.
This is a hybrid role based in Berlin, working on backend services and modern React frontends that handle real production traffic at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend services in Python on AWS—Lambda functions, DynamoDB, Aurora, and event-driven pipelines
- Leverage agentic AI tools as part of your daily development workflow
- Contribute to AI initiatives including MCP servers and co-pilot tooling
- Solve challenging backend problems involving latency, reliability, and scalability
- Own systems end-to-end from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and incident response
- Make key architectural decisions with real authority over how systems are built
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, mentoring, and improving development processes
- Collaborate directly with Product and Design to shape roadmap priorities
What We're Looking For
Required:
- At least 5 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
- Proven track record of leading complex projects in a senior capacity (2+ years)
- Deep expertise in React
- Experience working with Design Systems to ensure consistent UX across products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work hybrid from Berlin (relocation assistance is not provided)
Ideal but not required:
- Strong system design skills with ability to make architectural trade-offs
- AWS Serverless experience at scale (Lambda, SAM, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, Aurora)
