Azure DevOps Engineer, Staff

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Staff-level Azure DevOps Engineer. This senior position will lead infrastructure optimization efforts in a complex multi-subscription Azure environment, supporting engineering teams that serve millions of lives across the U.S. healthcare system.

As a staff engineer, you'll be responsible for establishing infrastructure standards, developing automation frameworks, and enabling self-service capabilities that allow teams to operate efficiently while maintaining security and compliance in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions using industry best practices across multiple Azure subscriptions
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers on DevOps practices and cloud architecture
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across DevOps practices, reducing deployment times and infrastructure costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy robust, automated systems that support product delivery
• Support mission-critical applications through scalable infrastructure solutions in a high-availability environment
• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and reliability of cloud environments serving large-scale operations
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities for production systems

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of eight (8) years of proven Azure cloud experience; AWS and GCP experience is a bonus
• Minimum of eight (8) years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM)/Bicep
• Minimum of eight (8) years managing application infrastructure in Azure, including App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Container Apps, and Virtual Machine Scale Sets
• Demonstrated ability to design and diagnose production-grade deployments at scale
• Minimum of eight (8) years of production-grade coding experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, and/or Golang for scripting and automation
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST
• Experience supporting infrastructure in regulated healthcare or similarly complex environments is highly valued

Pay

This is a full-time position based in the United States. The client has indicated a base salary range of $150,289 to $225,434 for this role, though the specific offer will depend on your experience, qualifications, and location. This figure reflects base salary only and does not include the value of benefits or other total rewards compensation.
