Operations Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clean-tech organization in Berlin that is scaling innovative hardware production for sustainable food systems. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the transition from small-batch manufacturing to serial production at scale.

This is a core leadership role working directly with the founding team. You will own the full operational landscape—production, suppliers, purchasing, quality control, inventory, and team building—while driving cost optimization and industrialization.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Operations Leadership: Scale production from single to multiple locations; ensure high-quality output and minimal downtime across deployed units; establish robust quality control systems post-production
• Financial Planning & Management: Oversee budgeting, controlling, and cost management; optimize purchasing conditions; implement KPI-driven reporting to ensure financial stability during growth
• Customer Success Support: Improve service coordination and execution for B2B clients; build efficient processes that maximize customer satisfaction
• Team Building & Collaboration: Recruit and lead a high-performing cross-functional team; work closely with executive leadership on strategic goals with direct decision-making authority

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in operations (COO, co-founder, or similar) at a company that scaled to at least seven-figure revenue
• Track record with physical products and manufacturing at scale
• Strong expertise in cost management and operational efficiency
• Highly entrepreneurial mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
• Ability to achieve ambitious goals with lean teams and limited resources
• Passion for sustainable innovation and long-term commitment
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to inspire teams
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance productivity and strategic planning
• You know how to build systems that deliver results, even when you don't have all the answers on Day One
