About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer retailer in the apparel and lifestyle space. Our client is seeking a Senior Category Manager, Womenswear UK/EU to join their regional team and drive merchandising strategy across key womenswear categories.
This is a remote-first role requiring 4 days per week in-office at one of three locations: London, Madrid, or Berlin. The successful candidate will be a data-driven, product-obsessed professional with deep womenswear merchandising experience and a track record of delivering commercial results in e-commerce environments.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end merchandising for womenswear categories across the UK and EU, including assortment planning, product launches, and performance tracking
- Deliver regional merchandising strategy in collaboration with central product teams and international peers
- Contribute to product development and build business cases for new opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Marketing, Technical Design, and Sourcing to ensure successful product launches that balance inventory, timing, quality, fit, sizing, and margin
- Analyse trading performance metrics (sales, returns, margin) and take ownership of actions to improve category results
- Support regional pricing decisions and assortment optimization
- Manage product catalogue setup, data accuracy, and system maintenance
- Build site merchandising strategy, including product detail page improvements and customer journey optimization
- Monitor customer feedback (ratings, reviews, returns) to identify and drive product quality enhancements
- Oversee regional product samples and merchandising assets
- Maintain merchandising reports, trackers, and pricing files
- Own evaluation of regional product compliance requirements and partner with relevant teams to execute
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of retail merchandising or buying experience in womenswear categories, with proven ownership of category performance
- E-commerce and/or direct-to-consumer experience; exposure to both startup and established brands preferred
- Demonstrated career progression with continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
- Strong product awareness with a commercial mindset and attention to detail
- Product-obsessed approach, leveraging data tools and external sources to inform decisions
- Critical eye for anticipating customer needs—blending both analytical rigor and creative merchandising intuition
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform trading decisions (sales, margin, return rates)
- Ability to operate effectively in both executional and strategic roles
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Planning, Design, Sourcing, or Marketing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence through concise narrative
- Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments where flexibility and adaptability are essential
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the UK or EU

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai: £80,000–£100,000 GBP base salary, depending on experience. Bonus and equity may also be available for this role.
