About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential CPA firm in their search for a Remote Client Relationship Manager/Senior Accountant. This is a unique opportunity for a public accounting professional who thrives on the advisory side of the business and wants to make a meaningful impact on client success.

In this role, you'll own a dedicated book of 30 to 40 clients, serving as their trusted financial partner. Your time will be balanced across accounting (40%), advisory services (30%), tax preparation (25%), and bookkeeping (5%). This is designed for someone who wants to help business owners truly understand their numbers and make better financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a dedicated client portfolio, managing relationships via email, video calls, and phone
• Meet with clients quarterly to review financial statements and provide strategic insights that drive business growth
• Oversee general ledger activity, financial statement preparation, and perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure technical accuracy
• Facilitate the tax compliance process by preparing returns and providing clean financials to the tax department
• Review transactional work completed by team members and ensure all monthly accounting activities stay on schedule
• Provide hands-on tax planning and preparation support throughout the year

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of accounting experience within a CPA firm (required)
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent designation, or actively pursuing CPA certification (strongly preferred)
• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required); experience with UltraTax is a plus
• Strong hands-on tax planning and preparation skills
• Problem-solver who thrives in client-facing roles and enjoys building trusted advisor relationships
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Prior experience working with dental or healthcare clients is a plus
