Brokerage Operations Associate II – New Accounts Principal

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded, US-headquartered financial services technology firm seeking a Brokerage Operations Associate II - New Accounts Principal to support their global brokerage infrastructure operations. This is a 100% remote role open to candidates across the Americas.

Our client is a licensed broker-dealer serving institutional clients worldwide. You will join their New Accounts team as an individual contributor, supporting the full account lifecycle—onboarding, maintenance, compliance cleanup, and operational projects—while partnering with leadership on process improvement and data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Process and support day-to-day accounts workflow across onboarding, maintenance, updates, and closures
• Fully own escheatment and abandoned property operations
• Fully own monthly statement and trade confirmation review processes
• Execute legacy cleanup and data hygiene projects to meet CIP compliance requirements, including partner and user communications
• Work through spreadsheets, exports, and operational lists to identify issues, find patterns, and drive items to resolution
• Query databases at an operations level to scope cleanup work, batch remediation, and measure progress
• Support larger cleanup initiatives alongside the New Accounts Principal Manager
• Identify repeatable processes from one-off project work and drive them into ongoing, efficient, or automated workflows
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and partner-facing teams to translate operational problems into actionable solutions

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Active FINRA Series 7 registration
• 3+ years of brokerage or financial services operations experience in: new accounts, account maintenance, CIP/AML, escheatment, statement review, or related account operations
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working from large lists, exports, and reconciliation-style work
• Understanding of databases, tables, fields, and how data connects for operational data investigation
• Comfortable working independently, interpreting priorities, and taking clear direction when available
• Strong follow-through and ownership of assigned queues and projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for partner, user, and internal stakeholder communications
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Exposure to AML frameworks, sanctions screening, or identity verification workflows
• Technical fluency for a fintech environment and comfort working with Product and Engineering teams
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• FINRA Series 24 registration, or willingness to pursue
• Experience with EDD, KYB, or business entity account support
• Deeper experience with escheatment or abandoned property programs
• Deeper experience with statement review, trade confirmation review, or similar control workflows
• Interest in using AI tools for drafting, summarization, and repetitive analysis
• Prior experience in a B2B, API-driven, or correspondent brokerage model
