About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Senior Software Engineer - C++ Linux & Cloud Workload Security. This role offers end-to-end responsibility for developing new security capabilities, from researching emerging Linux technologies through design, implementation, and delivery at enterprise scale.
You'll work on low-level kernel hooks leveraging eBPF through user-space processing pipelines, enhancing the security of Linux and cloud workloads that protect thousands of customers and process hundreds of millions of events daily.
Responsibilities
- Develop new security capabilities from research through production delivery
- Work on low-level kernel hooks using eBPF and user-space processing pipelines
- Conduct research and design innovative features in the Linux and cloud security domains
- Write comprehensive tests to cover new code
- Participate in peer code reviews and team design reviews
- Architect end-to-end security solutions for complex features with loosely defined problems
- Support customers with issues and requests within the team's domain
- Attend daily and weekly scrum meetings
What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering experience with C++ in Linux environments
- Experience in the cloud security domain
- Ability to explore new technologies and design innovative solutions from scratch
- Capability to drive new features at scale in production environments
- Experience with low-level system programming and kernel-level development
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous requirements
- Commitment to continuous learning and exploring emerging technologies
