About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential multi-division services organization in the Chicago area. Our client operates food service locations across high-traffic commercial and transit venues and is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team remotely.
This role focuses on coordinating day-to-day logistics activities, tracking orders and deliveries, and maintaining clear communication between internal teams, locations, and external partners. You'll be working in a fully remote environment supporting a network of service locations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate orders, deliveries, and routine logistics requests across multiple locations
- Track shipments, deliveries, and scheduled activities to ensure timely fulfillment
- Communicate with vendors, location managers, and internal teams regarding logistics needs
- Maintain accurate delivery, order, and logistics records in spreadsheets and internal systems
- Follow up on delays, missing information, or delivery issues and escalate when necessary
- Update digital systems with current logistics information and status changes
- Support the resolution of routine logistics and scheduling challenges
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Previous experience in logistics, operations, administration, customer service, or a similar coordination role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and follow-up abilities
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and digital systems
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Previous logistics or transportation coordination experience
- Experience with inventory, order management, or scheduling systems
- Background in food service, retail, hospitality, or distribution operations
