About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead their Gift Card vertical in Munich, Germany. This is a high-impact role with ownership of a fast-growing product line spanning gift card purchase, redemption, provider partnerships, and multi-market expansion.

Our client operates at significant scale across multiple European markets, and this role offers the opportunity to drive triple-digit year-over-year growth while working directly with commercial partners and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own the gift card product strategy and roadmap, covering provider selection, inventory quality, and the complete purchase and redemption experience
  • Lead commercial negotiations with gift card providers, including framework agreements, commission structures, and SLAs, partnering with Operations, Legal, and Finance teams
  • Drive revenue growth across France, Germany, and Spain by setting and delivering GMV and commission targets supported by transaction-level analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, CRM, and adjacent product teams to deliver cohesive experiences across web, app, and browser extension
  • Use data to lead decision-making, building and refining models such as fraud-tier scoring and validating performance metrics with Finance
  • Represent the vertical at the leadership level, presenting clear recommendations and trade-offs to influence broader strategic direction
  • Build for scale by evolving gift cards from a standalone offering into a fully integrated product across the platform

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in product management, with substantial experience owning a product or business line end-to-end at a leading tech company or startup
  • Strong entrepreneurial track record—you've built products from early stages, made decisions with imperfect data, and taken ownership beyond your formal scope
  • Commercial fluency with comfort owning revenue targets, running vendor negotiations, and thinking in terms of margin, commission, and unit economics
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with transaction and revenue data to make and defend decisions; comfortable partnering with data and finance teams on models like fraud scoring
  • Proven cross-functional leadership, guiding engineering, design, and data counterparts in fast-paced, matrixed environments without formal authority
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities with confidence presenting to senior and executive stakeholders
  • Degree from a top-tier university (Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, HEC Paris, ESSEC, Sciences Po, Bocconi, ETH Zurich, or equivalent); MBA or additional qualification from a leading program is a plus
  • Fluent English required
