The Opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and deploy sophisticated forecasting models using machine learning techniques and statistical methods
  • Analyse large-scale datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for model improvement
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand forecasting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate model performance and test new forecasting approaches
  • Optimise existing forecasting systems for accuracy, scalability, and efficiency
  • Communicate findings and model recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Stay current with advances in forecasting methodologies and machine learning research

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proven expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, and forecasting techniques
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, Scala, or similar languages
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and modern data infrastructure
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
