Technical Product Manager – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization building AI-powered financial products across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth management, and trading in Southeast Asia. Our talent team is searching for a Technical Product Manager to take full ownership of a product vertical within a regulated, high-stakes mobile banking environment.

This is not a typical product role. You'll be working with real money flows, regulatory frameworks, third-party financial infrastructure, and complex technical systems where reliability and correctness are non-negotiable. Our client is AI-native by default, but expects product leaders who know when AI genuinely improves outcomes—and when deterministic systems must remain in control.

This hybrid position is based in the United Kingdom, with at least three days per week in the local office.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive difficult trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Embed regulatory requirements into product decisions, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing
• Apply AI where it demonstrably improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products that depend on external approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, Finance—around clear product decisions and launch readiness

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production launch
• Strong technical foundation: system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers—reviewing, challenging, and contributing to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make tough trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation design, reliability engineering, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong written and verbal English communication

Nice to Have:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Zero-to-one fintech or consumer product launches
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered features
