Accounts Receivable Clerk

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential open-source technology organization with a global footprint across EMEA. Our talent team is searching for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a high-performing, distributed finance function. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about finance who wants to build foundational skills in accounts receivable, collections, and month-end processes while working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of accounts receivable ledgers and perform account reconciliations
• Manage customer master data, including names, addresses, and approval workflows; maintain audit trails for data changes
• Process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper entry into accounting systems
• Resolve invoice-related issues efficiently prior to issuance
• Implement and comply with credit control policies to maximise cash collection
• Track debt collection activities through to resolution and ensure payments align with contractual terms
• Support month-end processes, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Respond to customer queries and escalate issues appropriately
• Maintain compliance with established processes and recommend improvements where needed

What We're Looking For

• Strong educational background in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent spreadsheet skills, including pivots, lookups, and other advanced functions
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for direct customer interaction
• Genuine passion for finance with ambition to grow your career
• Experience using an enterprise-level accounting system
• Must be based in the EMEA region and eligible to work remotely in your country of residence
