Technical Product Manager – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own a critical product vertical within their AI-enabled neobanking platform. This is a remote role based in Germany, working with a distributed international team.

This position requires someone who understands that moving real money demands reliability, regulatory rigor, and technical excellence. You'll own product strategy and delivery end-to-end, making sophisticated trade-offs across correctness, compliance, AI capability, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, or trading
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into product design across KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing
• Apply AI where it genuinely improves outcomes, with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Excellent English communication skills for working with distributed international teams
• Comfortable working remotely across multiple time zones in a fast-moving environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
