Technical Product Manager – AI Investing App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building AI-powered financial applications across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own a critical product vertical end-to-end, working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, payments infrastructure, and regulated financial services.

This is a remote role based in Germany, offering the opportunity to shape products that handle real money, regulatory compliance, and complex third-party integrations. You'll work with a distributed international team across multiple time zones, driving products from strategy through technical design, delivery, and launch.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing considerations
• Apply AI where it genuinely improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies, including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure, and third-party partners
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers, with ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability assessment, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working in a global, distributed team
• Comfortable working effectively across multiple countries and time zones

Preferred:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
