About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential identity security organization in their search for a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer. This is a permanent, full-time role based in the United Kingdom, with the potential for remote or hybrid arrangements.
You'll be instrumental in building and scaling cloud infrastructure for an advanced identity verification platform. Working alongside a creative DevOps team in an Agile environment, you'll have the opportunity to architect next-generation systems while fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve existing cloud infrastructure supporting production services
- Design and build the next generation of scalable platform architecture
- Streamline and automate deployment processes across environments
- Collaborate with Security teams to address threats, vulnerabilities, and patching requirements
- Provide tooling and guidance to engineering and product teams to enhance scalability, stability, and reliability
- Mentor and share expertise with growing engineering teams
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Production experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Strong working knowledge of Terraform, Helm, Docker, and Git
- Proven experience supporting production applications in cloud environments
- Expertise with monitoring tools, frameworks, and processes
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Programming experience in Python
- Solid understanding of networking and security concepts and methodologies
- Linux Systems Administration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash
- Working knowledge of GitLab CI, Ansible, and Packer
- Operational knowledge of Splunk
- Strong interest or experience with containerization and automation technologies
Technology Environment: AWS (EKS, RDS, Elasticache, OpenSearch), Terraform, FluxCD, Helm, GitLab, HashiCorp Platform (Vault, Consul, Nomad). Our client values adaptability—you don't need experience with every tool, just a willingness to learn.
