About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand that's seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to drive profitable growth at scale. Our client operates in the DTC space with a laser focus on performance, unit economics, and customer lifetime value. This is a remote role requiring full-time availability during Pacific Standard business hours (9AM–6PM PST, 40 hours per week).
As the Senior Marketing Manager, you'll own the complete growth engine—paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, content, SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), social media, and site conversion. This isn't a traditional marketing role; it's a unit economics role where you'll live and breathe LTV, CAC, payback periods, and contribution margins while managing world-class agencies and leading internal creative teams.
Responsibilities
- Scalable Acquisition & Growth: Build and scale high-performing acquisition channels across Meta, Google, Shopify, Email, SEO, and Amazon. Drive profitable growth by optimizing for contribution margin and high-value customers, not vanity metrics. Establish strict CAC thresholds and ruthlessly prioritize what delivers results.
- Retention & LTV Optimization: Master the LTV engine by analyzing repeat purchase rates, cohort health, and cross-sell dynamics. Design high-impact lifecycle campaigns that boost repeat orders, raise average order value, and convert one-time buyers into loyal customers.
- Paid Media & Conversion Strategy: Lead paid media strategy, budget pacing, creative testing frameworks, and attribution modeling. Enforce a data-first approach where every budget shift or creative test is backed by unit economics. Collaborate with web development to optimize the Shopify store for conversion.
- Agency Management & Accountability: Manage external Meta, Google, Email, and AEO agencies using clear scorecards, tight SLAs, and bold performance targets. Audit agency recommendations independently and demand rapid root-cause analysis when targets slip. Ensure the brand maintains full ownership of all ad accounts, tracking, and creative assets.
- Creative Execution & Team Leadership: Mentor the internal marketing team with clear ownership and fast feedback loops. Build a rapid creative pipeline—briefing, testing, and scaling new hooks, ad angles, and formats weekly. Deliver a weekly executive scorecard breaking down performance drivers and next actions.
What We're Looking For
- DTC Experience: Proven track record running end-to-end growth for a fast-scaling DTC e-commerce brand
- Unit Economics Expertise: Deep, intuitive fluency in CAC, LTV, MER, Contribution Margin, and Cohort Retention metrics
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo (or similar ESP), SEO/AEO tactics, and Shopify
- Agency Management: Comfortable challenging assumptions, auditing agency performance, and demanding top-tier results
- Leadership Skills: Experience coaching creative teams, setting clear KPIs, and cultivating accountability
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to cut through noise, challenge weak data, and translate numbers into profitable action
- Availability: Must be able to work 40 hours per week during Pacific Standard business hours (9AM–6PM PST)
