Kotlin Coding Specialist – AI Trainer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization that is building the next generation of AI-powered developer tools. Our talent team is seeking experienced Kotlin developers to contribute their expertise as AI trainers, helping shape how large language models understand and generate production-quality code.

In this remote contractor role, you'll evaluate AI-generated code samples, create clean and idiomatic Kotlin solutions to real-world engineering scenarios, and document best practices that reflect modern Android development standards. Your work will directly influence how AI systems learn to assist developers in building better software.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated Kotlin code for technical correctness and adherence to best practices
• Implement optimized solutions to real-world engineering scenarios such as bug fixes and feature requests
• Write clean, maintainable code that demonstrates modern Android design patterns and coding conventions
• Document technical decisions and best practices to improve AI training data quality
• Ensure code samples reflect current standards in Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and related libraries

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production-level Android applications using Kotlin
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and core Jetpack libraries including Room, WorkManager, Datastore, ViewModel, and Hilt
• Solid understanding of build.gradle configuration and dependency management
• Experience with networking libraries such as OkHttp, Retrofit, and Coil
• Mid to senior level experience in Android software development
• Clear, structured communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions effectively
• Familiarity with Android multimedia tools like CameraX, ExoPlayer, or Media3 is a plus
• Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet connection
