About the Role
As VP, Medical at EVERSANA, you'll oversee medical and scientific content strategy, ensuring regulatory accuracy and clinical integrity across all client communications. This role bridges strategic leadership with hands-on medical expertise, positioning you to shape how pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare brands communicate with healthcare professionals and patients in the UK and beyond.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct medical strategy and content development for high-value client accounts in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors
- Review, validate, and approve medical messaging, clinical data, and regulatory submissions for accuracy and compliance
- Lead cross-functional teams including writers, designers, and account managers on complex medical communications projects
- Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks (MHRA, EMA, ABPI codes) and industry guidelines across all deliverables
- Mentor and develop the medical content team, establishing best practices and quality standards
- Liaise with clients' medical advisors and regulatory teams to ensure alignment on clinical positioning and messaging
- Contribute to business development and proposal responses, providing medical expertise and thought leadership
Who We're Looking For
- Qualified medical doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare professional with at least 10 years of medical communications or healthcare marketing experience
- Proven track record leading medical teams and managing complex, regulated communications projects
- Strong regulatory knowledge of pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare industry compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex clinical information for multiple audiences
- Leadership experience mentoring medical writers and scientific content professionals
- Strategic mindset with proven ability to influence client relationships and drive business outcomes
