QC Microbiologist Scientist

Join Eurofins as a Quality Control Microbiologist Scientist in Andover, MA. In this full-time position, you'll ensure the safety, efficacy, and compliance of products and materials through rigorous microbiological testing and analysis.

What This Role Involves

As a QC Microbiologist Scientist at Eurofins, you'll perform critical quality assurance work by conducting microbiological testing, analysis, and validation to support our clients' product development and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of quality control across diverse industries we serve from our Andover laboratory facility.

What You'll Do

• Execute microbiological testing protocols including microbial identification, environmental monitoring, and sterility testing
• Prepare culture media, perform viable and non-viable aerosol sampling, and analyze results according to established procedures
• Document all testing activities and maintain detailed laboratory records to ensure full traceability and compliance
• Troubleshoot testing anomalies and develop solutions to improve testing methodologies and accuracy
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address quality concerns and support product release decisions
• Maintain proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and stay current with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• Proven experience working in quality control, microbiology, or a related laboratory environment
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and culture-based identification methods
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (USP, EP, FDA) and quality assurance principles
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting results and collaborating with colleagues
