Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential pet nutrition organization seeking a Quality Manager to join their product team in Berlin. In this role, you will:

• Own the entire quality function and ensure compliance with feed industry standards across all operations
• Maintain intensive collaboration with suppliers, conducting regular audits and on-site production approvals
• Analyze customer complaints systematically and monitor inventory quality
• Work closely with warehouse and production site teams, including regular business travel for on-site meetings and coordination
• Conduct detailed root cause analyses, investigations, and implement corrective actions (CAPA)
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives and ensure implementation with internal and external stakeholders
• Build and develop internal quality assurance and quality management systems, including document management, SOPs, forms, and policies
• Implement and continuously improve quality systems across operational processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Process Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable scientific-technical field
• Several years of professional experience in the food, pet nutrition, supplement, or functional food industry—ideally in product development, R&D, food technology, or quality management
• Practical experience in industrial manufacturing, having directly supported production trials, sampling, or process optimization on the production line or with manufacturing partners
• Experience in quality assurance and quality control, ideally including laboratory analytics, complaint handling, CAPA, and release processes
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in food or feed law
• High willingness to travel and flexibility to be available for on-site appointments with partners, sometimes on short notice
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Excellent German and English language skills
