About This Position

Eurofins is seeking an experienced Lead Biochemist to direct quality control operations within our testing and laboratory services division. You will drive biochemical testing accuracy, mentor laboratory personnel, and maintain the highest standards of analytical quality. This leadership role combines hands-on scientific expertise with operational oversight of QC initiatives that support customer success and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day quality control testing activities and biochemical analysis procedures
• Lead and develop a team of quality control technicians and laboratory specialists
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures
• Monitor laboratory instrumentation performance, calibration, and validation
• Review test results, interpret data, and prepare quality documentation for regulatory submissions
• Investigate out-of-specification results and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ISO standards, and client-specific requirements
• Collaborate with production and other departments to resolve quality issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related life sciences field
• Minimum 5+ years of laboratory quality control experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams
• Strong knowledge of biochemical testing methodologies and analytical chemistry
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and data management
• Thorough understanding of quality assurance principles and regulatory standards
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
