About This Position

Eurofins is seeking a detail-oriented Microbiology Lab Associate to join our Rensselaer laboratory. In this entry-level role, you'll work alongside experienced microbiologists and laboratory professionals, gaining practical expertise in sample preparation, culture techniques, and microscopic analysis. You'll contribute to accurate testing and analysis that supports our clients' quality assurance and regulatory compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain culture media and laboratory equipment for microbial analysis
• Perform bacterial and microbial cultures using standard laboratory protocols and aseptic techniques
• Conduct microscopic observations and documentation of microbial samples
• Isolate, identify, and characterize microorganisms according to established procedures
• Execute quality control testing to ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards
• Maintain detailed laboratory records and data documentation
• Support the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the laboratory environment

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); some college coursework or laboratory experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in laboratory work
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established protocols precisely
