We are representing a confidential technology client in their search for a Senior Android Developer based in Mexico. Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is partnering with an innovative organization to help them build high-quality, scalable mobile applications. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using Kotlin and Java
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define app requirements and user experiences
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Integrate mobile applications with backend systems through APIs, message brokers, databases, and cloud services
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs
- Stay current with Android development best practices and emerging trends
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Ensure applications comply with security and data privacy regulations
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Android application development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Material Design principles
- Experience with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture patterns
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations
- Strong knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt
- Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git
- Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of Flutter or React Native for cross-platform development
- Published apps on the Google Play Store
- Experience in the fintech industry and payment systems
