Application Security Engineer II

This Application Security Engineer II role is based in Brazil and offers exposure to hundreds of client security programs, elite security researchers, and cutting-edge vulnerability assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Curate and validate incoming security vulnerability submissions for managed security programs
• Assess submissions for validity, accuracy, and severity using industry-standard frameworks
• Communicate directly with researchers and clients when additional information is required
• Handle incident response by escalating and communicating high-severity vulnerabilities to clients
• Design or develop tooling to improve triage and validation processes using scripting or development languages
• Execute individual projects while contributing effectively to team objectives
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive security information

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or previous security consulting experience
• Published security research demonstrating passion for security assessment
• High proficiency with Burp Suite or other interception proxies
• Working experience with industry-standard tools such as nmap, sqlmap, and Kali Linux toolsets
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities including XSS, SQLi, XXE, IDOR, SSTI, and SSRF
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or development language
• Strong organization, communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to complete tasks on time and manage priorities effectively
