Professional Services Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data security client in their search for a Professional Services Engineer based in the USA (EST timezone preferred). Our client is a fast-growing technology company focused on enterprise data solutions, and their Services team plays a critical role in customer success through implementation, integration, and deployment.

As a Services Delivery Engineer, you'll serve as the technical backbone of customer implementations—translating requirements into working solutions, troubleshooting deployment challenges, and collaborating with engineering teams to continuously improve the rollout process.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align them to business objectives
• Plan and lead implementation engagements, deploying solution components and configuring the product to meet each client's specific environment
• Collaborate across internal teams and client organizations to ensure smooth rollout and successful integration
• Deliver technical training tailored to various audiences, from hands-on administrators to executive stakeholders
• Identify root causes of deployment issues and drive them to resolution
• Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to document field issues, enhancement requests, and opportunities to improve the implementation process

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in product implementation or hands-on deployment within enterprise environments
• Solid troubleshooting and operational knowledge across some combination of: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, DevOps, Big Data/Analytics, Security, and Application Development
• Proven experience across the full solution lifecycle: problem identification, system architecture, hardware/software specification and design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment
• Proactive mindset—you anticipate challenges for both internal teams and customers before they become blockers
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments
• Working knowledge of one or more databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or IBM DB2
• Experience with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Programming or scripting proficiency in Java or Python

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Hadoop (Hive/Spark)
• Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Privacy, and/or Data Security Posture Management tools
• Prior SaaS implementation experience

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Our client also offers variable/bonus compensation and equity incentives based on individual and company performance.
