Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential agtech organization seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer based in China. In this role, you will take ownership of supply chain quality, ensuring every component meets exacting standards before reaching contract manufacturers across Asia.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing statistical process control methods for critical manufacturing processes and ensuring suppliers reflect these requirements in their process control plans
  • Leading rapid response efforts when quality issues arise during production or outgoing quality control inspections, working cross-functionally with design engineers to implement risk-mitigative actions that keep production flowing
  • Conducting root cause analysis when field failures occur and updating quality control documentation to prevent recurrence
  • Auditing supplier compliance with quality requirements and partnering with suppliers to close non-conformances efficiently
  • Managing quality systems that catch issues early and resolve them quickly to maintain on-time delivery of high-quality components
  • Traveling regularly throughout APAC (25%+ of your time) to work directly with manufacturing partners

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a quality professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment supporting electromechanical products. The ideal candidate brings:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management for high-volume manufacturing, preferably with electromechanical products
  • Proven track record responding to and resolving quality issues rapidly to minimize production disruption
  • Strong first-principles thinking with the ability to identify the most critical issues during audits or problem reviews
  • Experience partnering effectively with suppliers to achieve quality outcomes
  • High proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written, verbal, and reading)
  • Relevant quality certifications such as ASQ (CQE or CQA) or formal Internal Auditor Certification (beneficial but not required)
  • Ability to excel in a self-directed, demanding environment within a rapidly scaling organization
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards and methods
