About the Opportunity

Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential federal technology contractor working to modernize government services through scalable software solutions. We're seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data infrastructure supporting a cloud-based case management system for a major federal financial regulatory agency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS hosted data lake environment
• Design, build, and optimize data workflows and pipelines to support agency-wide analytics and reporting
• Monitor data infrastructure health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and data quality issues
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and agency stakeholders to scale and support new data-driven initiatives
• Support compliance with federal data security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53

What We're Looking For

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data infrastructure on AWS
• Data Pipeline Experience: Proven track record building and maintaining data marts, materialized views, or ETL/ELT pipelines
• Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud-based data infrastructure
• Database Management: Experience maintaining and migrating relational database environments, particularly PostgreSQL
• Data Types: Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
• Federal Environment: Understanding of data security and governance in federal environments
• Collaboration: Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams
• Communication: Communicates clearly whether documenting data architectures or collaborating with engineers on integration design
• Education: Bachelor's Degree required
• Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. In alignment with federal contract requirements, this role may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance
